United States Integrity Network
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This privacy policy applies network-wide to the United States Integrity Network (“USIN,” “we,” “us”) and every state chapter, local chapter, and affiliated partner operated on the USIN platform, including this site.
The United States Integrity Network respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using any USIN network site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Contact & membership details — your name, email address, postal code or location, and any information you submit when you join, sign up for our newsletter, register for an event, volunteer, or contact us.
- Petition signatures — your name, email, and the chapter/state you are associated with when you sign a petition. Signatures are confirmed by a double opt-in email before they are counted.
- Communications — messages, form submissions, and correspondence you send us.
- Donations — donations are processed by third-party providers (for example WinRed or Zeffy). We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar analytics data, used to operate and improve our sites.
- Cookies — small files used for essential functionality, security, and aggregate analytics. See “Cookies & Tracking” below.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the network, process petition signatures, and manage memberships and events.
- To send newsletters, announcements, and updates only after you confirm your subscription (double opt-in), and only until you unsubscribe.
- To respond to your inquiries and provide support.
- To protect the integrity and security of our sites, including preventing fraudulent or automated signatures.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who act on our behalf — such as our email provider, analytics provider, security/content-delivery provider, and donation processors — under obligations to protect your data.
- Within the network — your chapter and its parent organization(s) within USIN may access information relevant to serving you, consistent with this policy.
- Legal reasons — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of USIN, our supporters, or the public.
4. Email & Your Communication Choices
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time. Some transactional messages (such as petition confirmations or account notices) are necessary to provide services you request.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for core functionality and security, and limited analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate legal, accounting, or record-keeping purposes. Verified petition signatures may be retained as a record of civic participation. You may request deletion as described below.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our sites are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Third-Party Links
Our sites may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our sites constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
