This terms of use applies network-wide to the United States Integrity Network (“USIN,” “we,” “us”) and every state chapter, local chapter, and affiliated partner operated on the USIN platform, including this site.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the United States Integrity Network and its chapter and partner sites. By using any USIN network site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our sites.
1. About the Network
The United States Integrity Network is a federation of state chapters, local chapters, and affiliated partners working to promote election integrity, civic education, and community engagement. These Terms apply across the entire network, including this site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account, sign a petition, or make a donation. By using our sites you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including fraudulent or automated petition signatures;
- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- Upload unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing content;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems;
- Use our sites for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
5. Petitions & Submissions
Petition signatures are verified, including by email confirmation and automated-abuse safeguards. We may decline to count, moderate, or remove signatures or submissions that appear fraudulent, duplicative, or in violation of these Terms. You agree to sign only once per petition and to provide accurate information.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant USIN and the relevant chapter a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the network and advancing its mission. You are responsible for the content you submit.
7. Intellectual Property
The USIN name, logos, chapter marks, site design, and content are owned by USIN or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not use them without prior written permission, except as necessary to use the sites as intended.
8. Donations
Donations are processed by third-party providers and are subject to their terms. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, donations are non-refundable. Contributions may not be tax-deductible; consult a tax advisor regarding your situation.
9. Third-Party Services
Our sites integrate and link to third-party services (for example, donation, email, mapping, and analytics providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their terms and policies.
10. Disclaimers
Our sites and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Content is provided for civic and informational purposes and is not legal advice. We do not warrant that the sites will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, USIN and its chapters, partners, officers, volunteers, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or goodwill, arising from your use of our sites.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless USIN and its chapters and partners from claims arising out of your use of the sites or your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, unless otherwise required by law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our sites constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to our sites at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the network or its supporters.
